Why is my abs and emergency light still lit after replacing the speed sensor on my 1998 Dodge Dakota?
When I first start the truck up, their lit, but then if i shut it off after starting it then turn it back on immediately, the lights aren't lit anymore. I replaced the speed sensor and neutral safety switch.
there are 2 speed sensors on a dakota. one is on the rear pumkin and the other one is somewhere on the tranny. so if its still on. then look for the one on the tranny. also you could of bought a faulty sensor. it happends and would take it back and ask for another one as you think it might be faulty.
changing your oil will not make this light come on. sounds liek bull to me. just ignore. look for the other sensor.
