Why not a video is recorded on a DVD recorder to my DVR show full screen on Windows Media Player?

I recorded a show from my DVR to a DVD recorder, but when I tried to watch it on my computer, it showed about 1 / 4 of the screen. Is there a certain type of file it should play on the DVD player and Windows Media Player?

Not really enough information to be sure. 1. You may have saved video at a very low quality setting. You can adjust the settings on the DVR. WMP is a good player, but I rarely use it. You should be able to just double click anywhere in the video during playback to switch to full screen, and it should go, even if the video he plays is really bad. If not: 2.
